RV Overview
We are selling our beloved 2008 Winnebago View 24H. We set this up to spends vacations wherever we wanted while being able to work remotely. This motorhome has been the centre of our holidays for years and taken our family all over North America (Alaska, The Yukon, Newfoundland, Florida, PEI, The Rockies, and all points in between) but our kids are now grown and with hip surgery, we are transitioning to something smaller for two.
For a family, The View is the perfect compromise of space (huge slideout, full dry bath, sleeps 6 comfortably) and yet small enough to park in normal parking spots, go to any National Park (7.5ft wide, 24ft long), and a breeze to drive. 2008 is also one of the best years as you get the amazing Mercedes chassis and superb 3.0L V6 turbo diesel (16+mpg on the highway and power to pass traffic as needed), but NO DEF fluid or complicated emissions problems. The Dodge badge is just that, a badge, its all Mercedes Sprinter underneath.
Features:
-Overhead bunk sleeps 2, hinged mattress allows for great access between cabin / cab
-Huge slide out with Convertible sofa sleeps 2 (and means different seats for kids that want some space). Means massive interior space when parked
-Dinette booth converts to sleep 2 children
-7 factory installed seatbelts.
-Full galley with 3 burner cooktop, microwave, deep sink
-Separate + large fridge/freezer, 3 way powered
-Dry baths with standard sink, toilet, and full-sized shower
-Heat Pump for AC and heating ether on generator or shore power
-Gas ducted furnace
-Hot water, dual source electric or gas
-Full fibreglass walls and roof with aluminum structure; no worries about rot or failed roofs
-Onan 3600W propane generator, only 115hrs
Upgrades:
-300W Solar on roof with Victron bluetooth controller
-Battery Monitor gives full knowledge SoC, solar in / current draws out from 280Ah of batteries.
-WeBoost cell signal amplifier allowing full remote work utopia from nearly anywhere without needing to pay for expensive subscriptions like Starlink
-Stereo head unit with Apple CarPlay; tunes and Nav straight from your device.
-1080p full colour wired backup camera
-LED interior light conversion
-LED headlights to light up the night
-Upgraded water pump for larger capacity + low noise
-Upgraded water filtration (kitchen sink cold water
Capacities:
Towing 3500lbs, hitch installed
Fresh water: 34 gal
Propane (lasts forever): 18 gal
Grey Water: 27 gal
Black water: 33 gal
Diesel: 26.4 gal
The RV has 83k miles, has proven it can go nearly anywhere and enjoy every mile. Everything works (*old satellite dish unknown as we have never used it). Maintenance has been completed on schedule and kept up. Tires ~10k on them. Some of the fibre glass skirting have some wear and tear, one spot on the rear by the trailer hitch broken from a van giving us a love tap in a parking lot (cosmetic only, reported to insurance but damage was less than deductible). The paint and decals have some Californian sun tan, ock chips as to be expected. Awnings need replacing but with my hip I cannot. Cash or Cashiers cheque only, no financing, no trades.
We've likely spent a few hundred nights in it and loved every one for the freedom it gave us to stop wherever whenever, and the memories created doing so. Hope you'll enjoy it just as much as we did.
